Cyberpunk 2077

I guess a lot of people already know that CD Projekt Red is busy since 2012 with a new RPG based on the tabletop role-playing game series "Cyberpunk". Cyberpunk 2077 is located in a futuristic world with ultra-modern technology co-existing with a degenerated human society.
Cyberpunk plots often center on a conflict among the artificial intelligences and megacorporations.

Teaser trailer:

What makes it even more special is the co-operation between CD Projekt Red and Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the pen-and-paper RPG Cyberpunk. And I am curious how they will manage to transfer the Pen & Paper on the screen.

I am very excited about this game, but we can't expect a release before 2017 :(

Ha, I wanted to post that yesterday. Great that it's in now. The teaser trailer is one of the best game trailers ever, it's a piece of art.

Cyberpunk 2020 etc has always been the top destination for P&P fans of the genre that wanted to avoid Elves, Dragons and magic in the setting (personally I really like Shadowrun).

I'm a little bit sceptical for a digital CP RPG, can't get the imagery of a Sci-Fi GTA out of my head. But considering what CDPR have achieved with The Witcher 3 I think they are one of a very few studios worldwide capable of this task.

My favorite genre. I really really hope they don't botch up that game. The trailer IS a piece of art. When I saw it two years ago my jaw dropped. Building a great Cyberpunk city is much harder than building a medieval continent, I think.

With CD Projekt Red I think, this dream can come true. These guys seem to know whats cool and whats not.

There was a Cyberpunk MMORPG called Neocron I used to play many years ago, but the game was buggy and the community was overrun by assholes leveling up and playing it like Counter Strike without any RP.

I read many Shadowrun books, but I never played the P&P game. There are no P&P guys I know in real life.
