So Star Wars Battlefront Open Beta will arrive for PS4 tomorrow and last until Monday. It should appear in the store for free and is supposed to be ~7GB in size.

The following content will be available:
  • Walker Assault on Hoth: Fight in epic 40-player battles as a Rebel to destroy the Empire’s onslaught of AT-AT’s by calling in Y-wing bombers. Or, side with the Empire and protect your walkers while utilizing their mighty weaponry to crush the Rebel objective.
  • Drop Zone on Sullust: Escape pods are crashing down and you and your team must fight to control them. With its frantic 8v8 matches, Drop Zone is sure to put your combat and strategy skills to the test.
  • Survival Mission on Tatooine: Play alone or with a friend via co-op or split-screen as you battle to hold off waves of Imperial forces including AT-ST’s, TIE fighters, elite stormtroopers and more.

@KeyKaiphwvmd will stream it and DerVeteran will probably stream it on the Ludophiles channel. So maybe we can organize something to play with more people you know. Any suggestions how to organize? Anyone up for playing the "general" and organizing this?

I'm a great duffer:oops: in fps; it is absolutely not my genre but I want to try this because it is graphically beautiful on ps4; 8v8 mode it seems imho the most interesting mode, perhaps where it able survive for more than 10 seconds :confused:... so if I will be able to download the beta on time, I will be there. If you've forgotten my nick name on PSN don't worry you will recognize me because I will be the first:cool:....

P.S.
I assume that if there is a choice I will always prefer the imperial troops... I would have preferred the Ewok but I fear that there aren't.

I missed this post, but saw @DaftMav playing it yesterday. Meanwhile I downloaded the beta and had a short test run. I aready asked some people, I think may like this game, for a Match this evening. @C3pp4r3ll0: I don't know your PSN ID, same writing like here? Or just send me PSN request (same Name like here). I prefer the imperial troops too.

Last night I played Star Wars for 1-2 hours; I'm not an expert in FPS: the last one I played long enough was Far Cry in 2004 :rolleyes: but frankly I was hoping for something better, definitely playing with friends is more fun, but it's not my genre, I no longer have the reflexes of a time :(. I didn't find any tutorial can you confirm this ? So the first experience was too chaotic... I tried to drive an x-wing, but the controls are imho ridiculous, then I drove a Walker and here I enjoyed it enough, but my best performance, however, was within a turret with cannon here I've done enough with a final score of 11 kills and 6 deaths, yet I could not be Darth Federer Vader, and I have yet to test 8v8 mode. I will try this weekend to play again a little but currently I'm engaged in platinum Dark Souls 2 for Ps4 and I still have to open the package of MGSV, bought at dayone and who knows when I can play quietly :oops:... damn Dark Souls 2 platinum :mad:;).
@Cryorvus I will send you the request on PSN tonight if you see something smart... am I ;).

No stress. I'm no FPS pro too. It's just about the fun. Let's get slaughtered together. The graphics are really cool, but I won't buy this game. I just want to use the timeframe we have with the beta, thats all.

OK, if you are missing an easy target, I am available... usually I do not use the headset with mic so you will not hear my voice but this is better :D, unless you care to learn the bad words in Italian ;). Cya.
