Ludophiles Dahlia Beer Day.jpg

Each year the first Friday in August is the International Beer Day. Since Dahlia likes beer and is streaming every Friday we are looking for 3 types of beer for Dahlia to test.

Suggest your beer in this thread!

In case more than 3 beers are suggested we'll have a poll a week before beer day.

Kilkenny Irish Red Ale. Can be found at Rewe. Little to special to become a default beer, but nice from time to time. The red fits perfect to Dahlias not red red hair ;p

Dark Souls addicted :-P
Advise a German about beer is very unusual o_O, as if someone advise me about pizza, there is the risk of being condemned for heresy ;); moreover considering that, I'm not a big fan of Becks, please don't complain if you do not like my advice :p, anyway, here's one of my favorite beer:
I really like the paulaner beer www.paulaner.de when I find it at the supermarket I often buy: It matches perfectly with a pizza margherita... oh damn I got hungry now ;).

P.S.
Fock I forgot to post an image

@Micha183: Wow, buying this beer online is expensive. 2,29€ for 0,33l. I never saw DjuDju in a supermarket. I planed to test the beer Dahlia will test parallel, but in this case I'll find my self under a bridge soon, if DjuDju tastes to good :D

Good
@Cryorvus your right, this kind of beer is expensive. Thought it would be a good idea to taste somethin different and new. Some of the nominated beers are knowing but this kind i think no one of us ever heard about it. So i talked to myself "Give it a try and nominate this one". Be sure, i never tried this one. If i got a chance, ill try DjuDju Lager. Im not a huge fan of fruit tastin beers ;-)

*Cheers*

P.S. maybe Dahlia could order the winner beers at http://www.gourmondo.de/ so the costs for delivery would be cheaper as at Amazon Marketplace. Not sure, she need to check out.

Great
I have zero knowledge of beers so I don't think I should suggest anything at all, but I will join in tasting on international beer day. So I've done some shopping and will just try out a bunch...

I mostly like weiss/weizen and dark sweet beers so I got a bunch of those plus some German brands but wasn't able to find Becks here (odd since krombacher and bitburger are always stocked in the supermarket). At least I found Guinness although I'm not sure if it's the correct one, sadly wasn't in bottle either. I'm looking forward to try that and the Grolsch Kanon, it's 11.6% but apparently sweet.

From left to right:
La Trappe - Trappist Double (Dutch)
Franziskaner Weissbier Dunkel
Löwen Weisse Weissbier
Willianbräu Weizen
Perlenbacher Weissbier
Hertog Jan Weizener (Dutch)
Brand Weizen (Dutch)
Perlenbacher Strong (7.9%)
Guinness Draught
Grolsch Kanon (11.6%)
Krombacher Pils
Bitburger Pils
Stella Artois - Premium Lager Bier (Belgian)
Grolsch Kornuit Pils
Grafenwalder Radler Cloudy
Brand Oud Bruin (Dutch) My regular favorite, dark and sweet.

I might still get some more this week, perhaps "Meantime London - Yakima Red" which is supposedly really dark red/coppery coloured.
