Ludophiles ARK: Survival Evolved server

After the first 3 Ark sessions I have to say: Awesome game. The first steps were hard (never try to hide yourself from a Carno in a thatch house - he'll kill you anyway AND destroy your house), but if you join now there's a save camp with a warm fire waiting for you. Also basic equipment for all. Micha and me were hardworking & dying. To find the camp you have to spawn at the south west corner (the last chooseable location or the one before the last one). You'll see one of this huge flying object sending a red laser to the ground. Follow the light 
. Our camp is next to one of the rocks sourrounding a small island this red laser hits. It's on a high place and we'll try to keep the fire burning (yeah man), so you can see it from far away. Once you joined our tribe you'll be able to spawn at a bed inside the camp (but there is a cooldown timer after someone spawned, so we need to build more beds for the case many members die at the same time).
Next ingame steps:
- complete "The Great Hall" - first wooden (more stable) building - maybe add a plank, so Micha will master cliffdiving and won't get smashed at the ground close to the water again
check - "The Great Hall" is completed and Micha found a point from where he was able to master the jump...and our naive tamed dino "Angry Joe" jumped afterwards
- build a enclosure and tame some DoDo's (50% male/50% female) - laying of eggs
- build a garden and seed berry's - narcoberry's preferred, because they're rare and needed to tame
check - drug empire is growing
- tame a Parasaur - can carry wood or players
check...no Parasaur, but a really cool guy
- more suggestions?

Morning all, Ive started a char on the Ark server, Ive made a few bows and a load of arrows, they are in the weapon chest in the right hand house ive been modifiying a bit. enjoy (oh and btw my names Andy but i respond just as well to dark ;-))

A couple of tips for anyone doing crafting, you can put engrams on your hot buttons so you can craft whilst gathering, items you create are typically much lighter than the components used to create them, so if you can carry enough wood etc to make 5 walls you could probably craft whilst gathering and still carry 15 walls back, so it greatly speeds up the process with less round trips.

So the Server is great, but it looks like its pvp spec vanilla, so the taming / xp / harvesting is all 1x currently and there is no 3rd person mode. Instead of increasing the xp if you slightly increase the harvesting rate it does the same things, you get more resources and so level faster. 2x would be great ;-) also the taming being at least 2x would REALLY help ;-) Once the changes are made to the config you need to restart the server for them to take effect.

Bigger update, it's 227.1 now, 3rd person should be enabled and XP/Tame/Harvest should be 2x.
Still didn't have the time to play ARK just once. So I have no idea about what's happening there
But if 75% of the servers population isn't available it might be an option for Dahlia to skip today and play another time.

It got a bit late today, but finally we managed to meet in the ARK universe, thanks for picking me up and giving me an introduction ....it was fun and the base got awesome! looking forward to next time
