Kind of odd this thread didn't exist yet.

Tonight Dahlia will continue with The Witcher 3.

Today's stream will be Rocket League. Being in a team with Dahlia might be rather a punishment, anyone up for it? ;)

If there is a Rocket League stream on wednesday, I'm in. If there will be a TESO stream, I'm in too, but I think the Rocket League hype will hold on for while ;).

About the joining issues:
I thought in a complete different way, the game developers/sony did. I thought it must be possible to start a group and then challenge another group by choosing their leader. I didn't expected, that all participants have to join one group and decide later which team they want to play for.

I never saw/used the "Join" Button at a players Profile, too. But I'm able to learn ;). This Button is visible for people in the friendlist only, isn't it?

Anyway, it was great to play against my buddys @Micha183 and @Meister_Pelzig for the first time. ThorDonnergott79 (a friend of mine since we were 12/13 years old) had a lot of fun, too. I think we will see him again.

Yes, Rocket league matches yesterday were so funny :D

It would be interesting to organize a small tournament with teams established before in order to allow as many people as possible to play at least once.

Anyway it was great to win 2 times out of 3 against @Micha183 :p;)

some sort of tournament would be nice, but there are some things we have to care about:

- the organisation must been done before the stream (sadly, many people aren't interessted in using this website)
- there should be minimal "blue-screens" (yesterday we figured out that sometimes joining doesn't work properly - it could be that you get the message "Team is in a match or full" even if thats definitv not true - the only way was to destroy the group, I hope after that people can join via the Ludophiles profile again and its not nessecary to send invites)
- the tournament must have a special "Dahlia-rule" that makes sure she can't be kicked out of the tournament
- the tournament should be endless (ok, I know, thats not sense of a tournament, but we don't know how long Dahlia will stream)

If I find a silent minute, I'll think about a flexible system

Ok, my suggestion for an Rocket League community game:

First we need a wait list. I see no other/more easy way. Maybe it is possible a chat-bot can do this work (!joinRL command or something like that).

- if there are less than 8 participants we don't need this

- the 8th, 9th,... take place at the list

- private game starts 4v4

- to take the administration effort low 3 rounds will be played

- the team won 2 of 3 rounds remains in the group

- the loser team guys have to sign in the wait list again at the bottom of the list, if they want to come back

- if Dahlias team lose, the three other players have to leave and Dahlia remains, of course

- next 3 or 4 guys from the wait list join the group for the next 3 rounds (via the Ludophiles profile join button - if it works :S)

- I think, we don't need two wait lists for "playing with" or "playing against" Dahlia

We could start filling the list at the forum, but if we try to use a bot, maybe this make things more complicated (migrate this list to the bots "mind"). Maybe some people sign the list at forum and don't show up later on, so lets organize this in chat only.

If the bot can't be made (no time, no function to store (many) strings), administrate the list will bring some stress to the chat admin. Maybe a second admin can be provided to care about this part. I'm no chat bot expert and don't know what's possible and what's not.

So, tell me what you think, if its shi.. hit me hard..I can stand it :D

I agree with your tournament suggestion: It is quite flexible and should allow many viewers to join in the game. :)
The waiting list seems the ideal solution ; others solutions would be too complicated and would make a pretty funny stream into a tournament full of rules too difficult to enforce/apply.
I would suggest to fill the waiting list, during the stream; I have no idea how difficult is it to create and use a bot command in order to keep updated a waiting list, but if it is too complicated, I think a specific thread in this forum could be enough; but it requires the cooperation of some volunteers who constantly update the waiting list here in the forum, indicating who has already played and who has not.
Since in the game there is no command to throw out a single player from a group, it should be recalled several times during the stream and the chat, that is played at best of 3 matches and the only team who wins and Dahlia remain to play.
If the Dahlia's team loses, it is necessary for 1 member of the team that has just won to leave the game in order to allow to Dahlia to play in her new team. But now there is a question: what criteria will decide the "unlucky winner" ;) who have to leave his/her team ? The personal score of the last match could be a fair and easy criteria ?
But now I had a sudden doubt ... is it possible to choose in which team play ?
The last time I joined the game through the profile page of Ludophiles on PS4, but I never choosed during my 3-4 matches in which team play, for me it was a random choice.

I do not know if tomorrow I'll be there , anyway have fun, and may the best win :).

@C3pp4r3ll0:
- I think its possible to kick out a player (I have to take a look), but I believe our community members aren't that infantile to deny leaving the group by their own

- You think to complicated at the "Dahlia's team lose case". All 4 members of the winner team remain and Dahlia remain in the group. No one has to sacrifice himself. In that case only 3 new people from the wait list will be taken (1 Dahlia + 4 winners + 3 new players = 8).

- It is possible to choose your team color directly before the game starts (options: blue OR auto OR orange). If the others guys decide faster than you and one team is filled, you will be put to the other team.

- I think no one should take the team constellation to serious. After 3 matches ended, people can mix up complete new (so the winner team don't have to stick together till apocalypse just because they win together). It won't be fun, if one team dominates the hole evening. I really tryed to design simple (and fair) system everbody can understand very quick. If it shows up it didn't work chaos is a nice option too :D

But don't forget: this is just a suggestion. I don't know if the "leadership" :p is interested in doing it like this.

our community members obviously they do not behave as children, but this casual and funny game has a great appeal to the barbarian invasions ;) and Ludophiles' community must be ready for anything, even for the worst case scenario :D
Now talking seriously, it is not a problem of childishness, I think that it is probable that many new viewers may join the game without read before and also paid attention to these few simple rules; also communicate once you are inside the game is not easy especially if you do not hear the voice of Dahlia or anyone else that gives instructions. Last time for example, during the match, I did not hear any voice of Dahlia and since I don't have a good brain (and a good internet connection too;)) that allows me to do mutlitasking, following the stream and playing at the same time, it is likely that there may be communication difficulties during the match.

Ok, I misunderstood; your proposal is much better and easier to apply :).
I just hope not to meet a team of 4 pro and competitive players ;) in this case, remixing the winning team with Dahlia could help to rebalance the situation :D I'm just kidding Dahlia :p;).

totally agree, the important thing is to have fun.

Good
hi there,

@C3pp4r3ll0 you got lucky this time ;-) prepare your car and skills for our next match. Noo, just kiddin´. Im not a good player at RL yet, i need a lot of practise to beat any of you guys (@Dahlia Gray included :D ). At least i try to be a goalkeeper in the game so it gives me seconds of breathin and a quick overview about the opponents. Everytime i rush through the middle, the boost kills my "skills" and i miss the Foooooockin´ ball :rolleyes:

@Cryorvus i like your ideas about the tournament and it sounds fair to all invited players. We will see how it works.

Dahlia Gray

Queen of the Ludolands (and beer)
hey, just read the threads right quick and the ideas are good! although i don't think alot of people would care about a waiting list:(...my experience showed so far that just anyone who watches the stream and wants to join presses the "join" button (if he knows, where it can be found). if you want only specific people to play with you it seems to be best to invite the people yourself. BUT, as soon as i used square to create a group, everyone in the friendlist was able to join - invited or not - and the group had almost been full before i was able to type the names of the four people i wanted to invite. i will have to check that (are there "closed" groupes?) before the stream. has anyone found a way to kick out one single player? @Cryorvus : thordonnergott is a friend of yours? he really kicked our asses in RL! :p and @C3pp4r3ll0 : I begin to develop pro-skills, i will soon be the head of a pro/competitive team!:p
before the stream i will send a party(chat)-invite to all of you for whoever wants to join. and i will check the ingame invitation system again.

That's true. So, plan B: chaos

@Dahlia Gray :

Yes, he is. He was in my younger brothers class. One day my brother told me Thor bought a SuperNES (it was brand new released). So, I took my bike, raced to his house and ring the bell. My brother think that was embarrassing. Thor didn't knew me at that point and was a little confused, but he invited me to join gaming. That was 23 years ago and we don't stopped. But the consoles changed, of course ;)
